Dr. Edwards is an Addictionologist who has a passion for addiction medicine. His love for treating substance use disorders comes across to each of his patients and he has successfully treated many people suffering from the disease of addiction.
Dr. Edwards is a double board-certified physician in both Addiction Medicine and Internal Medicine. Additionally, he is certified both as a tobacco treatment specialist (TTS) and as a master addiction counselor (MAC). The American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASMA) and the American College of Physicians (ACP) have honored him with the distinguished “Fellow” status.

My approach to therapy is based on the client’s therapeutic experience. Therapy can shed light on ineffective behaviors, fixed beliefs, and negative ways of coping. I assist in promoting paths to move forward for individuals who are struggling with:

Angie Campbell, PMHNP-BC, MSN-PH, APRN is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner at Magnolia Counseling Center in Batesville, MS. Using evidence-based therapeutic interventions and psychopharmacology she works with patients of all ages to increase their ability to cope with and understand mental illness. Angie uses a holistic approach to treat patients and their families. Angie earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2008 from Delta State University, a Master of Science in Nursing with an emphasis in Public Health from Grand Canyon University in 2016, and her Post-master’s certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2021. In 2022, she became certified by the American Credentialing Center as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. In addition, Angie holds certifications in Mental Health First Aid, CPI, and BLS. She is a member of the Mississippi Nurses Association, the Association of Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners, and the Mississippi Association of Nurse Practitioners. She has experience in health care as a paramedic, emergency department nurse, home health and hospice nurse, school nurse, and nursing instructor for undergraduate students. She uses this previous experience to provide care to individuals and families experiencing various diagnoses and symptoms of mental illness. Angie looks forward to working with patients of all backgrounds, ages, and diagnoses.

As your therapist, I will begin by meeting you where you are emotionally and mentally. I have over a decade of experience working with children between the ages of 6-17 and adults 18-60. My name is Ms. Lakendria Smith and I’m a board-certified Counselor. I attended Grand Canyon University and have been practicing therapy for 15 years. I have worked within a wide variety of outpatient mental health programs, schools, and psychiatric hospitals.
As your counselor, I will begin by meeting you where you are emotionally and mentally. It is important that the therapist and the client have a positive rapport. Each person should be heard but allow themselves to be open to guidance and another perspective. Mental health is an intricate part of our everyday lives and not be afraid to seek assistance to maintain mental stability.
